Mathew McIntyre (b. 1995, El Paso, TX) lives and works between Austin and El Paso, TX. He graduated from the University of Texas with a BFA in Studio Art and Minor in Art History (2025), and has worked as a Curatorial Intern for the College of Fine Arts UT Austin, as a Risograph Fellow for the Printmaking department UT Austin, as well as a Gallery Assistant at both the Visual Arts Center and Blanton Museum of Art. He co-curated the exhibition Queer Sublime at the Visual Arts Center in 2023 and has exhibited work in venues such as ICOSA Collective (Austin TX ),Visual Arts Center (Austin TX), Co-Lab project (Austin, TX), Las Cruces Museum of Art (Las Cruces, NM), Stanlee and Gerald Rubin Center for the Visual Arts (El Paso, TX), Flatbed Center for Contemporary Printmaking (Austin, TX), and the University Library Gallery, California State University of Sacramento (Sacramento, CA) as part of the official 2022 NCECA conference.
